Quality Control Inspector

The primary function of the Quality Control Inspector is to perform a variety of incoming, in process, final, mechanical, electrical and electronic inspections of various equipment, devices and assemblies.

This position fills an existing vacancy.

Core Duties/Responsibilities:

Inspect products, parts and assemblies to determine conformance to standards, specifications and inspection procedures.

Monitor production for compliance to specified processes and manufacturing requirements.

Check all gauges, tools and test equipment for correct calibration.

Process all returned products and inspect per specifications.

Prepare all necessary paperwork.

Other Functions and Responsibilities:

Maintain documentation for all equipment, gauges and tools as required.

Maintain cleanliness in all work areas.

Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Contact

Frequent contact with all levels of personnel.

Direction

Perform duties under the guidance of the Quality Supervisor.

Receive instructions and work closely with the Senior Quality Control Inspector.

Skill/Knowledge & Other Requirements:

EDUCATION

Minimum level I inspector as defined ASME-NQA-1.

From ASME NQA-1:

Level 1 Personnel Capabilities: “A Level 1 person should be capable of performing and documenting the results of inspections or tests that are required to be performed in accordance with documented procedures, acceptance standards and/or industry practices as defined in users written procedures”.

Two years of related experience in equivalent inspection or testing activities .

Or High School Graduation and 6 months of related experience in equivalent inspection or testing activities.

Or completion of college level work leading to an associate degree in related discipline plus 3 months of related experience in equivalent inspection or testing activities.

Proficient written and verbal communication

Minimum Visual Requirements.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical procedures.

Working conditions while performing the job:

Work will be performed in office and various production site work environments

Salary:
$50,000 CAD
