Safeguard community spaces as a Security Officer with the City of Cambridge. This part-time role involves patrolling, investigating security breaches, and promoting a safe environment.
As part of the Municipal By-law Compliance and Corporate Security Division, the candidate will patrol city properties, monitor security systems, and respond to emergencies. This position is perfect for individuals with a background in Law and Security and strong interpersonal skills. The work schedule includes rotating shifts up to 20 hours weekly.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular patrols of designated areas
• Investigate security breaches and respond to alarms
• Assist in the evacuation during emergencies
• Log incidents and maintain accurate records
• Enforce laws and regulate visitor access
Requirements:
• Educational diploma in Law and Security or equivalent
• Valid Security Guard Licence for Ontario
• 6 months to 1 year experience in security enforcement
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
• Class G driver’s license with acceptable abstract
