Full-Time Security Guard

Be part of the City of Cambridge team as a full-time Security Guard. This role in the Municipal By-law Compliance division involves monitoring security systems and safeguarding the community.

The City of Cambridge seeks a Security Guard to fulfill a vital role in ensuring public safety. This position requires you to actively patrol assigned areas, respond to emergencies, and maintain detailed records of daily activities. With a focus on integrity and service, you will monitor security systems and ensure compliance with city regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol assigned city-owned areas and monitor security systems

• Investigate security breaches and report violations

• Maintain logbooks of daily activities and incidents

• Respond to emergencies and assist evacuation protocols

• Escort authorized personnel and service providers

Requirements:

• Two-year diploma in Law and Security, or equivalent

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License

• 6 months to 1 year relevant experience

• Skilled in conflict resolution and communication

• Valid Ontario Class G driver’s license
