Position: Indigenous Housing Outreach Specialist
Enhance Indigenous well-being as a Housing Outreach Worker with Southwest Ontario Aboriginal Health Access Centre in Cambridge, ON. This full-time role focuses on outreach support for the homeless community.

As a full-time Indigenous Housing Outreach Worker at SOAHAC, you will serve the Guelph-Wellington Indigenous community. Your mission will be to assist clients in overcoming homelessness through housing navigation, mental health support, and community engagement. With three years of relevant experience, you will foster relationships with community services, ensuring culturally appropriate solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide holistic outreach support to at-risk individuals

• Assist clients in housing searches and applications

• Educate clients on tenant rights and responsibilities

• Develop culturally relevant service plans and assessments

• Advocate for clients’ needs with community resources

Requirements:

• Two-year Diploma or Degree in Social Services or related field

• Minimum three years in community mental health services

• Experience in housing support and outreach

• Knowledge of Indigenous cultural beliefs and practices

• Valid driver’s license and clean police check
