Software Design Co-op

Embark on a hands-on Software Design Co-op position with Eclipse Automation in Cambridge, ON. Collaborate on innovative control software and enhance machine designs while directly impacting customer installations.

As a Software Design Co-op, you will report to the Software Design Supervisor and play a crucial role in designing, developing, and integrating software for various systems. Your work will span programming PLCs, testing control systems, and collaborating with other engineering teams to improve integration methods for enhanced functionality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop software programs per project specifications

• Debug and commission control systems both on-site and remotely

• Test and integrate hardware components like sensors and robots

• Collaborate to improve methods of integrating control technology

• Provide thorough testing and accurate project documentation

Requirements:

• Enrolled in a mechanical or electrical engineering program

• Advanced computer skills, especially in Excel

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and within a team
