In this senior leadership role, you will oversee the planning team while optimizing transportation routes and analyzing needs. Key responsibilities include managing bulk railcar movements and collaborating with various teams to align operations with business goals. Experience in transportation planning is essential to drive seamless logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage planning team and coverage for Transportation Planners
• Monitor on-time pickup and delivery for logistics fleets
• Develop and optimize transportation strategies for product movement
• Manage all bulk railcar movements with direct customers
• Prepare reports on bulk rail performance and efficiency metrics
Requirements:
• Logistics certification or equivalent experience preferred
• Experience with private and 3PL fleets in manufacturing
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Proficient in TMS and Microsoft Office
• Effective communicator knowledgeable of industry regulations
