Position
Seasonal, Full‑Time Associate – Afternoon Shift
Distribution Centre, Cambridge, Ontario.
Contract term:
May/June to January 2027.

Responsibilities

Housekeeping, safety and warehouse compliance.

Accurate and efficient order picking and packing; label cartons with correct shipping and content labels.

Inventory management including clean‑up and replenishment.

Ensure quantity and quality of items picked into outbound cartons.

Use Radio Frequency (RF) scanners.

Maintain minimum performance standards while performing required job functions.

Know, understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures.

Work safely and abide by all of Carter’s safety rules and procedures.

Actively support Carter’s culture and values with other Associates.

Other tasks as assigned.

Responsible for housekeeping, health & safety of the department.

Requirements
Must Have

Successfully complete powered materials handling equipment training and demonstrate safe practices and proficiency.

Use mechanized equipment as needed.

Detail‑oriented and maintain focus in a high‑activity processing setting.

Able to work closely with others (teamwork).

Preferred Skills and Experience

At least one year of work experience, preferably in a distribution or manufacturing environment.

Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications.

Knowledge of handheld RF scanners and experience using WMOS.

Skilled at multi‑tasking and able to react quickly to frequent priority shifts.

Physical and Work Demands

Repetitively lift cases weighing up to 50 lbs.

Work in a multi‑channel, multi‑shift distribution environment; flexible to work different shifts and extended hours based upon business needs.

Stand and work for long periods, including daily overtime, holidays and overtime as required.

Intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.

Work in varying temperatures.

Shift hours: 3:15 pm – 11:45 pm, Monday – Friday.
