Material Handler

Overview  Patterson is a partner that cares about your success. This role is offered through Kane Veterinary Supplies, a Canadian wholesale distributor and manufacturer agent that supplies the pet, veterinary, agricultural and equine markets across Canada.
Shift  Material Handler – 8:00am to 4:30pm
Responsibilities   Perform all warehouse duties including picking, packing, receiving, counting and tracking inventory.
Transit all business in accordance with Animal Health International Inc.’s business code of ethics and conduct.
Align with the company’s mission, guiding principles, values, goals and objectives.
Use any/all warehouse equipment/machinery to meet assigned performance metrics and KPIs.
Maintain an organized, clean and safe warehouse environment.
Handle hazardous materials, pesticides and prescription drugs according to company processes, procedures and applicable laws and regulations.
Cooperate with transportation providers for dispatch and coordination of production work.
Perform all work in accordance with company safety guidelines and procedures, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications   High school diploma or GED.
At least 1 year of warehouse experience; background in warehousing and distribution preferred.
Ability to safely and efficiently operate all warehouse/equipment machinery.
Capability to meet deadlines, cutoffs and budgetary requirements.
Strong organizational, administrative and communication skills.
Industry knowledge of overall warehouse operations.
Ability to work with minimal to moderate supervision.
Problem‑solving skills and computer proficiency with various applications.
