Position Overview

Certified Medication Technician (CMT) at AVENUES RECOVERY CENTER.

Avenues Recovery Center is a nationwide network of drug and alcohol rehab centers with 17 locations across 7 states. Offering the very highest standard of medical and clinical treatment, our services span every level of care — including detox, residential, PHP IOP, and outpatient services. Avenues is both JCAHO and CARF accredited, and in full compliance with all ASAM standards.

• Provide quality, timely medical care to stabilize clients and enable them to engage fully in treatment.
• Assist with all nursing shift duties (vitals, drug screens, medication management, charting and reporting, etc.).
• Collaborate with extended medical and clinical teams for seamless coordination of care.
• Manage, order and restock all medical supplies as necessary.
• Schedule medical appointments and arrange after‑care providers for post‑discharge.
• Assist with all pharmacy needs and prescription authorizations.
• Work second shift (3 pm‑11 pm), 3 days a week, and also weekends.

Avenues Recovery Center at Eastern Shore is a 100‑bed residential facility offering inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation services. Our newly renovated building offers a modern, hotel‑like experience on 7.74 acres of picturesque, secluded property.

• CPR certification (required).
• High School diploma / GED or Bachelor's degree (preferred).
• Valid licensure to serve as a Medication Technician in Maryland.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Collaborative, multitasking, and time‑management skills.
• Knowledge of substance use and its bio‑psychosocial consequences.
