Housekeeper – American Cruise Lines
Apply for the Housekeeper role at American Cruise Lines. We’re hiring for the 2026 season. This is a temporary position on a shipboard hotel for 28 weeks.
About the PayWages range from $1,000 to $1,400 per week plus bonuses. All major living expenses are covered aboard.
Responsibilities- Maintain a clean, safe, and attractive environment for guests.
- Prioritize comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas.
- Acknowledge guests by name and address all housekeeping‑related inquiries and service requests according to the company’s standards.
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
- Organize inventory and restock linens and supplies.
- Clean spills with appropriate equipment and notify managers of maintenance needs.
- Dispose of trash properly.
- Clean upholstered furniture and lounge areas.
- Build genuine relationships with guests and respond efficiently to housekeeping requests.
- Perform additional duties such as greeting guests upon embarkation, assisting at special events, and participating in evening cocktail parties.
- Full pay coverage and opportunity to save earnings by covering all living expenses.
- Introductory experience in the cruise industry with a strong foundation for a hospitality career.
- Travel and accommodation provided, including room & board, uniforms, and paid training.
- Extensive travel across 35+ states on over 50 itineraries.

You must be at least 18 years old and an American citizen or Green Card holder. You must be willing and able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, for 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks. Physical requirements include lifting, bending, climbing, and prolonged standing or walking.
Under Federal Law and the Department of Transportation, a pre‑employment drug test is required for all shipboard employees. Alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited. Employees also receive emergency and safety training. Grooming standards limit visible tattoos and piercings.
This is a temporary 28‑week position. Advancement to management is possible but not guaranteed.
