Key tasks include forecasting material needs, negotiating with suppliers, and developing inventory management systems. This position is located in MD.

Responsibilities

• Supply Chain Management:
  Develop and implement procurement strategies to balance quality, cost, and supply continuity.
• Inventory Control:
  Monitor and manage inventory levels to avoid excess or shortages.
• Supplier Management:
  Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage disputes.
• Logistics Coordination:
  Oversee the scheduling and logistics of incoming and outgoing materials.
• Cost Management:
  Analyze market trends to achieve cost reductions while maintaining quality.
• Team Leadership:
  Lead and develop the materials management team.
• Compliance:
  Ensure all activities comply with industry standards and regulations
• Primary integrator for Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) activity: contribute to material procurement timing, order release timing requirements, available capacity, & lead-times.
• Interacts with Sales to coordinate an overall production plan to meet Customer demand.
• Owns Sales Forecasting for the CES Consolidated business
• the Master Production Schedule & slot plans for roll-outs and obsolescence of global products and ensure a consistent handoff of planning information to the production work cells so that the MPS and production schedules are synchronized.
• Purchasing materials and negotiating cost-effective deals.
• Inspecting and verifying incoming materials for quality and quantity.
• Developing inventory management systems to reduce wastage.
• Collaborating with other departments to meet material requirements.
• Preparing detailed reports on inventory operations.
• Analyzing supply chain data to identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborating with other departments to align supply chain activities with business goals.
• Managing the procurement process, including selecting suppliers and negotiating contracts.
• Monitoring supplier performance and addressing any issues.

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
• Certifications like CPIM or CSCP are advantageous.
• At least five years of experience in materials management or supply chain operations.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP and ORACLE) and materials management software.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
