Responsibilities
- Supply Chain Management:
Develop and implement procurement strategies to balance quality, cost, and supply continuity. - Inventory Control:
Monitor and manage inventory levels to avoid excess or shortages. - Supplier Management:
Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage disputes. - Logistics Coordination:
Oversee the scheduling and logistics of incoming and outgoing materials. - Cost Management:
Analyze market trends to achieve cost reductions while maintaining quality. - Team Leadership:
Lead and develop the materials management team. - Compliance:
Ensure all activities comply with industry standards and regulations - Primary integrator for Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) activity: contribute to material procurement timing, order release timing requirements, available capacity, & lead-times.
- Interacts with Sales to coordinate an overall production plan to meet Customer demand.
- Owns Sales Forecasting for the CES Consolidated business
- the Master Production Schedule & slot plans for roll-outs and obsolescence of global products and ensure a consistent handoff of planning information to the production work cells so that the MPS and production schedules are synchronized.
- Purchasing materials and negotiating cost-effective deals.
- Inspecting and verifying incoming materials for quality and quantity.
- Developing inventory management systems to reduce wastage.
- Collaborating with other departments to meet material requirements.
- Preparing detailed reports on inventory operations.
- Analyzing supply chain data to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborating with other departments to align supply chain activities with business goals.
- Managing the procurement process, including selecting suppliers and negotiating contracts.
- Monitoring supplier performance and addressing any issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
- Certifications like CPIM or CSCP are advantageous.
- At least five years of experience in materials management or supply chain operations.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP and ORACLE) and materials management software.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
The salary range provided is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation for all statewide locations across the United States. Salary is dependent on a multitude of factors, including but not limited to the physical worksite location, candidate's skill set, level of experience, education, and internal peer compensation comparisons.
