About the Role

Powertrain Products, Inc., a national leader in remanufactured engines and transmissions, is seeking an experienced Automotive Engine Builder to join our production team in Cambridge, MD
. This position is ideal for a skilled professional who takes pride in precision engine work and thrives in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Disassemble, inspect, and remanufacture automotive engines to OEM or higher specifications
  • Use precision measuring tools and machining equipment to ensure top-quality rebuilds
  • Diagnose engine component issues and determine appropriate reconditioning methods
  • Collaborate with the production team to meet quality and efficiency targets
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work practices in compliance with company standards

Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in automotive engine remanufacturing or rebuilding
  • Deep understanding of modern engine components, tolerances, and machining processes

  • Experience in the high-performance or custom engine segment is a plus, but not required
  • Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and commitment to craftsmanship
