Position Summary

The Quality Technician position will inspect products according to specifications and quality standards. Document non‑conformances and work with associates to implement corrective and preventive actions.

Schedule

Mon – Thu (5:00 AM – 3:30 PM). The position normally works 10‑hour shifts, with a forty‑hour work week and Fridays off. Some overtime may be required to meet production demands or customer needs.

Hourly Rate

List Range $25/HR – $30/HR

Responsibilities
  • Performs a variety of quality control tests/inspections on products, materials, components, parts, etc., at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with quality and reliability standards.
  • Records statistical data.
  • Analyzes data and writes summaries to validate or show deviations from existing standards.
  • Recommend modifications to existing, or suggest new, standards, methods, and procedures.
  • Apply basic skills and may develop advanced skills using tools and equipment appropriate for the position or specialization.
  • Duties and tasks are standardized.
  • Resolve routine questions and problems and refer more complex issues to higher levels.
  • Work independently and as a team promoting cohesion within Regal Rexnord while following standard procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned and known tasks.
  • Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Calibrate measurement devices such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators and verify that various hard gaging is within acceptable dimensional tolerances.
  • Conduct audits and analyze data to identify corrective and preventive improvements.

    Why investigations of internal and external quality issues.
  • Read and interpret the requirements of drawings.
  • Analyze drawing requirements and make sound determinations of the appropriate inspection method/equipment to be used for product acceptance.
  • Use inspection equipment (/OD mics, calipers, various other gauges) in determining product acceptance.
  • Initiate and complete all quality (Inspection) related records and documents with minimal supervision.
  • Actively participate in process and department improvement discussions.
  • Establish and improve upon existing inspection methods, process controls, and conformance procedures.
  • Develop new and revise existing control plans, SOP’s and work instructions.
Experience and Skill Required
  • High school or GED; a minimum of 3 years of quality experience in an ISO 9001 manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of ASME‑Y14.5 (Geometric Tolerance) and ability to apply/inspect requirements with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques used to verify product conformity, effective manufacture, and distribution of goods.
  • Highly productive with a strong sense of urgency and orientation to details, accuracy, and excellent outcomes.
  • Results‑oriented with a demonstrated ability to effectively manage time and multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to adapt to internal processes and change.
  • Strong problem‑solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Must have the ability to read and calibrate all gauges available in the plant.
  • High‑level verbal and written communication skills – English primary.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Experience with SAP MRP system preferred but not required.
  • Experience with FM and UL inspection documentation desired but not required.
Physical Requirements And Work Environment
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 25 pounds frequently.
  • Must be able to traverse the production facility; sit or stand for long periods.
