Manual Machinist – Shift: Monday – Thursday 6:00 am – 4:30 pm (Fridays off.) Salary: $20–$30 per hour. /p osition Summary  pThe Manual Machinist works under direct supervision to build and repair tooling to standards using machine operations and measuring instruments to meet production needs. With assistance, the technician may work from blueprints and sketches to create or modify tools. The technician relies on instructions and pre‑established guidelines to perform most functions of the job.

You’ll have the opportunity to work with your hands, using your skills to manufacture tools that drive innovation. /ul esponsibilities  ul liWork safely, respecting the environmental health safety guidelines (cardinal rules) liSet, operate, and adjust machine equipment such as milling machines, grinders, drill presses, and sanders to create and modify tooling for production. liPull tooling for production per spec., wash and store returned tooling from production per spec.
liHandle torches, metal bending, and forming equipment to modify tooling. liHandle mechanical tooling and measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers /ul equirements and Qualifications  ul liHigh School Diploma or Equivalent liObserve and follow all safety regulations liProven ability to collaborate with a team liProficient mechanical aptitude liGood verbal and written communication skills liGood problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills liStrong initiative liGood focus and attention to detail liGood math skills liWillingness to learn machining practices and other various tasks through training liStrong problem‑solving and troubleshooting aptitude.
/ul hysical Requirements  ul liWhile performing the duties of this job, the Associate will regularly work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. liThe Associate must be able to concentrate while multi‑tasking, as he/she will be using torches, ovens, grinders, and sanders to performance the job duties. liThe employee is occasionally exposed to hot/humid conditions. liModerate noise level liThis position works in a Manufacturing environment and requires a person to be able to frequently walk, stand, bend and twist;
