* Work safely, respecting the environmental health safety guidelines (cardinal rules).
* Carry out corrective maintenance on electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, in addition to making and set up, and adjustments.
* Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on facilities and equipment using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
* Identify parts for replacement in machinery and equipment based on the equipment manual and/or parts identification information.
* Make modifications and improvements to production and building equipment.
* Work with engineering/management to implement process improvements.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
* Assist in maintaining the building, such as changing light bulbs, basic welding, carpentry, plumbing, painting, etc.
* Effectively communicate and relay information to management and operators both in person and via e-mail.
* Prioritize tasks daily with guidance from Maintenance Supervisor or Production Manager.
* Responsible for maintaining inventory and condition of provided tools.
* Adhere to Regal Rexnord 6s (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety) program.
* Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pumps, belts, fans, air conditioners, etc.
* Disassemble machines and repair or replace broken parts.
* Install compressed air, gas, steam, condensate, water, and sewer piping.
* Perform preventative maintenance tasks on equipment that could include lubrication, replacement of disposable and worn parts, alignment checks, adjustments, and diagnostics.
* Assist supervisors and engineers in the specification and selection of replacement parts, needed tools, and equipment.
* Communicate internally with contacts outside the work group to resolve issues and/or collaborate on work procedures, including team projects and kaizens.
* Communicate with external contacts by telephone, writing, or in person for ongoing service, diagnosing issues, and acquiring information on ordering parts by providing detailed information concerning equipment repairs, issues, or questions.
* Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with company policies, 5s procedures, and in line with company core values.
* Other duties as assigned.
* Associate’s or Technical degree in Mechanical, Electrical, & Industrial related fields.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment.
* Licensing or certifications for plumbing, HVAC, or refrigeration a plus.
* Experience in diagnosis and repair of electromechanical and pneumatic systems.
* Experience in the use of hand and power tools (provided by company).
* Basic welding/fabrication skills preferred.
* Strong problem solving and troubleshooting aptitude.
* Willingness and ability to learn and understand the operation of process specific equipment.
* Willingness to adapt promptly to sudden changes in work priorities.
* Ability to become proficient in using the CMMS (accurate recording keeping, equipment history, preventative maintenance, and downtime).
* Ability to perform work at heights at or above four feet.
* Ability to carry out assigned tasks independently.
* Capable and experienced operating equipment such as forklifts and platform lifts.
* Effectively communicate and work in a team environment.
* Ability to write to record basic information (record maintenance activities, completing forms, creating procedures, etc.)
* Knowledge of and ability to compute basic arithmetic skills such as, or comparable to: add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractions and decimals.
* Knowledge of and ability to use a variety of measuring equipment.
* Knowledge of and ability to complete welding repairs and fabrication is a bonus.
* Proficient with pneumatic systems and components.
* Knowledge of and ability to use tools or special devices to work, guide, or move objects or materials. Start, stop, and control the actions of machines or equipment for which a course must be steered or guided to fabricate, process, or move objects.
* Knowledge of and ability to solve unique problems that are diversified and involved. Judgment is required to adapt standard practices and principles to meet new conditions.
* Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
* Basic knowledge of electrical circuits helpful.
* Associate must provide a complete set of hand tools. Specialty tools will be supplied by Regal Rexnord.
* Must be authorized to work in the United States.
