The Mailroom & Property Associate supports the day‑to‑day operations of Draper’s mailroom and Property Office functions. An entry‑level position that assists with sorting, and the distribution of incoming and outgoing mail, operates mail equipment, maintains accurate records of deliveries, and ensures timely and accurate mail deliveries to the appropriate departments or individuals. This position will be required to maintain the mailroom organization, and coordinate with the Shipping/Receiving staff.
Additional duties will include assisting the Property Office Control Clerk and the physical tagging process of all incoming property, annual property inventory, maintenance of the property records, and other property office related duties. This role is an on‑site position.
- Retrieves, records, and sorts mail, including packages, by department and category.
- Delivers mail to correct department or recipient.
- Forwards misdirected mail.
- Prepares documents and other items for shipping.
- Weighs mail and calculates correct postage and operates office equipment.
- Uses mail sorting and postage meter machines.
- Arranges pickup from postal service.
- Maintains inventory of mailroom supplies.
- Assists in the daily departmental and warehouse operation and customer requests.
- Assist in the collection, sorting, creating and updating property records and reports.
- Assist with evaluating, tagging and scanning of received equipment/material.
- Provides support in maintaining Property records.
- Assist with annual inventory tasks as needed.
- Conduct property closeout inventory activities and collect property for disposition.
- Working closely with other Property Office personnel to support internal and external customer efforts and all Government and Draper property activities.
- Support the Property Manager in the planning and implementation of Property goals and objectives.
- Highly motivated self‑starter, excellent written and oral communication skills as well as thorough familiarity with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to prioritize competing tasks with minimum supervision.
- Must demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and ability to think critically and independently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service with professionalism.
- Ability to perform tasks efficiently and effectively with changing environment.
- Strong attention to detail skills.
- Able to perform data entry.
- Some lifting up to 50 lbs required.
- High school degree or equivalent can be substituted with relevant experience. Associates degree or higher preferred.
- 1 year previous experience doing similar work is preferred.

The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $18.00 - $30.60.
