Summary
The Emily Rauh Pulitzer Curatorial Fellow in Contemporary Drawings reports to and works closely with the Houghton Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art as well as working with the Maida and George Abrams Curator of Drawings to conduct original, scholarly research to support the acquisition, study, and curatorial care of drawings and related works from the 20th and 21st centuries.
Key Details- Term: This fellowship is a term position starting on September 8, 2026 and ending on August 31, 2028.
- Compensation: $60,000 annualized compensation.
- Benefits: The Fellow has access to travel funding and is eligible to participate in Harvard’s fringe benefits program.

Schedule:
35 hours per week. - Work Location: This position works on site at both the museum in Cambridge, MA, and periodically at a second facility in Somerville, MA.

- Orientation and Review Period: This position has a 3-month orientation and review period.

EligibilityCandidates MUST meet the following basic qualifications in order to be considered for this role:
MA in Art History or related field

Qualifications and Skills:
- Proficiency in a second language preferred
- Experience in and ongoing commitment to object-based research essential
- PhD, or graduate-level work anchored in archival or collection research of artworks essential
- Museum or related experience preferred; interest in expanding canonical narratives strongly encouraged
- Commitment to fostering engagement with original works of art in a university museum context, for all visitors
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team
$60,000 salary
