Virtual Travel Assistant job at Happy Vibes Travel. Cambridge, MA.
Core Responsibilities:- Serve as primary customer contact, providing premium concierge-level service to travelers from start to finish
- Respond to telephone, email inquiries, and online travel submissions in a timely fashion
- Research and book Domestic and International travel packages including air, hotel, tours, and ground transportation
- Work directly with top suppliers like Expedia, Universal Studios, Princess Cruises, Avis, Delta, etc...
- Become familiar with multiple web-based booking engines and travel resources
- Pricing & and cost calculations for changes or added trip fees
- Provide e-tickets and take credit card payments over the phone.
- Plan and sell transportation, accommodations, insurance, and other travel services.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide advice on suitable destinations, transportation modes, travel dates, costs, and accommodations.
- No experience necessary; we will train

- Communicate effectively with clients to address inquiries, offer assistance, and ensure a smooth travel experience.
- Book transportation, make hotel reservations, and handle payment/fees.
- Use promotional techniques and prepare materials to sell itinerary tour packages.
- Address and resolve problems, complaints, or refund requests promptly.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through effective conflict resolution.
- Attend seminars to stay updated with tourism trends.
- Build and maintain a network with tour operators to enhance service offerings.
- Fluency in English; multilingualism is a plus.
- Strong sales skills and commercial awareness.
- Effective interpersonal and negotiation skills.
