3 Key Consulting is hiring an Engineer for a consulting engagement with our client, a leading global biopharmaceutical company.
Job Description:
Our client seeks an Engineer at its Cambridge, MA site to provide equipment support. The ideal candidate will have:
• Previous biotech/pharma experience (a plus)
• Experience working with equipment
• B.S. in a scientific field
• Open to entry-level candidates
• Upstream cell culture or downstream purification experience (preferred)
• Chemical Engineering B.S. preferred
• Nice to have: instrumentation, preventative maintenance, automation (Delta
V or Finesse controllers), process monitoring or trending, bioreactors, chromatography.

Responsibilities include:
- Perform system owner role for assigned systems to ensure equipment reliability and support technology development initiatives.
- Develop and maintain process control automation solutions for bench-top Finesse and Delta
V Controllers in Next Generation Lab. - Coordinate projects for equipment modification/improvement.
- Analyze data trends for performance management.
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules.
- Create and maintain critical spare parts list.
- Troubleshoot performance trends and equipment reliability issues.
- Support new product introductions and equipment/technology implementation.
- Monitor effectiveness of continuous improvement projects.
- Review and approve changes to operating procedures and EHS change control processes.
- Identify and implement engineering improvements or upgrades, including design, installation, startup, and qualification.
- Design, execute, and lead engineering or process projects.
- Collaborate across functions and contribute to investigations.

Master’s degree OR Bachelor’s + 2 years experience OR Associate’s + 6 years experience OR High school diploma/GED + 8 years experience
