Overview

Osmoses is preparing to build, qualify, and implement small- and large-scale pilots for the first Osmoses product line. The team will engage in process engineering, pre- and post-pilot membrane testing, and meticulous planning and design work guiding commercial-scale pilots. The Product Testing & Qualification Engineer will collaborate with the product development, engineering, implementation and commercial teams to qualify and launch the first-generation prototypes and products from Osmoses into customers' hands.

The engineer will develop, implement, and maintain testing methods to qualify membrane coupons and fibers and contribute to the qualification of Osmoses' product and its commercialization of membrane technology.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Collaborate with engineering and business teams to define gas separation testing conditions for membrane coupons and membrane fibers. Refine existing product qualification criteria in cross-functional collaboration if necessary.
  • Design and execute in-house and/or external gas separation experimental campaigns, evaluating membrane coupons and membrane fibers performance in diverse environments, including pure gas, mixed gas and field mixtures aligned with the qualification criteria.
  • Ensure timely testing and qualification of membrane coupons and membrane fibers with pure and mixed-gas feeds, including conducting tests, analyzing data, and validating data quality.
  • Coordinate and manage specialized external testing of membrane coupons and membrane fibers as required for qualification.
  • Maintain and update a database of testing contacts and internal project timelines, providing regular updates to the team.
  • Create and maintain meticulous technical documentation, records, procedures, calibrations and operational guidelines for mixed-gas testing equipment and analytical equipment.
  • Document and present qualification results, analysis and recommendations for continuation of product development and commercialization or product termination.
  • Manage, procure, and maintain single-gas and custom mixture-gas cylinders for simulating a variety of feeds.
What We’re Looking For
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in chemical engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of industrial experience in the chemical, petrochemical, or energy industry.
  • Experience testing membrane samples as coupons and/or hollow fiber/spiral wound mini-modules using single and mixed gasses.
  • A strong fundamental understanding of laboratory scale testing equipment and analytical instrumentation, including gas chromatographs and sensors.
  • Proven ability to design or oversee the design and perform a critical design review of complex automated membrane test equipment.
  • Proven ability to design, conduct, and document experimental campaigns evaluating membrane performance in diverse environments, including simulated mixtures.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to achieve company goals.
  • Capability to contribute effectively within cross-functional teams.
What We Can Offer You
  • Opportunity to contribute to addressing one of the biggest industrial decarbonization and energy efficiency challenges of this century.
  • Work in a hub for clean tech with strong momentum and growth potential backed by leading venture capital firms.
  • Competitive salary and equity packages.

  • Safety-First Mindset – prioritizes safety and well-being.
  • Technically Rigorous & Analytical – strong problem-solving skills and high technical standards.
  • Detail-Oriented & Self-Directed – manages multiple priorities with accuracy, able to work independently and in teams.
