A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) at Harvard University are seeking a motivated postdoctoral fellow with a Ph.D. in electrical engineering, applied mathematics, or a related field. The fellow will conduct research on agentic AI, foundational modeling, optimization, and control of multi‑agent autonomous systems with applications to renewable energy and power grids. The role involves collaboration with graduate students and partners in the broader Harvard community, including the Salata Institute for Climate and Sustainability and the Kempner Institute.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in electrical engineering, applied mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong mathematical background in reinforcement learning and/or control (e.g., optimal control, decentralized control, adaptive control) and a desire to impact energy/power grids.
Candidate should have a substantial publication history and demonstrate teamwork and communication skills.

$67,600 – $91,826. Pay is based on rank, experience, training, and accomplishments.
