** Job Description

Summary:

** A Hardware In The Loop Simulation Systems Engineer designs, develops, validates, and maintains dynamic simulations and infrastructure for rapid assessment, integration, and test of complex systems. Simulation applications range from high-level behavioral simulations for visualization and evaluation of system concepts to high-fidelity real-time simulations and Hardware-in-the-Loop infrastructure to support development, integration, test, and sustainment of systems and software.

**** Duties/Responsibilities*
* • Model operational environments, perform studies via computer simulation and recommend alternative architectures with some guidance.  
• Perform modeling, simulation, and analysis tasks assess system survivability, system effectiveness, and overall system performance in engagement / mission-level scenarios.  
• Perform studies and simulation analysis with the objective of enhancing and optimizing system performance capabilities.  
• Prepare, document, and deliver presentations to gather necessary data and communicate intermediate and final results.  
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Familiarity with interface specifications for SPI, I2C, MIL-STD-1553, RS-232, RS-422, and Ethernet.  
• Understanding of synchronization protocols such as PTP.

** Education
* * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field. Master's degree preferred.

** Experience
* * 3-5 years of Systems Engineering or related experience.

* • Professional software development experience in a multi-disciplinary, team setting  
• Experience with C/C++
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink.
• Experience with Real Time operating systems is a plus
• Experience with Hardware in the Loop simulation development and testing is a plus
• Experience with Linux operating systems is preferred
• Hardware debugging experience (Oscilloscope and/or logic analyzer) is a plus  
• Familiarity with various communications standards such as RS-422 is a plus  
• Familiarity with VHDL is a plus
• Desire to work on mission critical, cutting edge problems and solve them is a plus
