** Job Description

Summary:

** The Configuration Analyst assists senior level configuration analysts in managing and controlling configuration items (CI’s), ensuring the integrity and traceability of product configurations throughout the lifecycle of a project.

**** Duties/Responsibilities
*** Assist in the development, documentation, and maintenance of CM processes and procedures in alignment with industry standards and company requirements.
* Participate in both configuration control board (CCB) and Design Review Board (DRB) meetings and provide configuration management input as needed.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and program management, to ensure CM processes support and align with program requirements.
* Assist in generation and distribution of CM reports and metrics providing visibility into the configuration status of changes objects.
* Support Senior CM team member with the preparation and execution of configuration audits and reviews.
* Assist in the resolution of configuration related issues and discrepancies.
* Assist with the release process to ensure accuracy and completeness of change objects.
* Assist with preparation of monthly deliveries of revised work products.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommended solutions.
** Skills/Abilities
*** Basic understanding of CM principles, practices, and standards
* Familiarity with military/commercial CM and documentation-related specifications and standards (such as ANSI/EIA-649, ASME/Y14, MIL-STD-31000, MIL-STD-961, etc.)
* Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 Quality Management requirements
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power point)
* Familiarity with configuration management tools such as PLM databases.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Detailed oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Good interpersonal skills to communicate clearly
** Education
* ** Requires a minimum of a associate degree in engineering or related field, a bachelor's degree is preferred.
* Equivalent work experience in Configuration Management, or a related field may be considered.
** Experience
* * 3 to 5 years of experience in Configuration Management or related discipline is required.
