Job Description:

  Maintenance background; hands-on experience with equipment support and troubleshooting.

The Pivotal Drug Substance Technologies organization at our client is seeking a skilled Engineer to join their team. This lab-based position involves developing, characterizing, and supporting clinical drug substance manufacturing processes for late-stage programs. The role is located at our Cambridge, MA site.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, characterization, and scale-up of upstream and downstream processes, equipment maintenance, and project-based work. This position offers the opportunity to work on multiple modalities including antibodies, BiTEs, and bispecifics.

The role involves designing and executing experiments, applying platform approaches, troubleshooting, and contributing to laboratory operations and process automation. It also offers opportunities to expand skills in cell culture and purification.

• Ensure preventative maintenance on equipment

• Manage projects and collaborate with teams
• Design and execute experiments
• Contribute to technology development and automation

Basic Qualifications:

Master's degree OR Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience OR Associate degree with 6+ years OR High school diploma/GED with 8+ years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Life Sciences, or related fields.
• Experience with high throughput systems or PAT.
• Project management experience.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with design of experiments and data analysis tools.

• Low GPA or non-scientific major/experience.
