Events Specilist

An organization in Cambridge is seeking an experienced Event Manager to join its Events team on a temporary basis. This individual will partner with internal teams to plan and execute internal and external events across virtual, hybrid, and in-person formats. The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in event management, meeting planning, program management, or a related field and will be highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple events and priorities independently.

• Partner with internal colleagues to plan and execute internal and external events, serving as the primary operational lead for assigned events.
• Manage event logistics while ensuring alignment with program objectives, budgets, and organizational standards.
• Support larger and high-visibility events in partnership with senior members of the Events team.
• Serve as the primary operational point of contact for event stakeholders and partners.
• Manage all phases of the event lifecycle, including setup, execution, financial reconciliation, and post-event evaluation.
• Coordinate with internal teams including IT, Facilities, Communications, and Program teams to ensure successful event execution.
• Identify and proactively address logistical challenges throughout the event planning and execution process.
