Senior Real Estate Accountant (Commercial)

We’re hiring a Senior Real Estate Accountant to manage financial reporting, budgeting, and day-to-day accounting for a major commercial real estate portfolio. This high-impact role supports business strategy and investment performance through sharp financial oversight. You'll work in a hybrid setup and contribute directly to real estate operations and portfolio success.

• Up to $60 per hour pay rate for a senior-level commercial real estate accounting role
• Work with a $4 billion property portfolio, gaining significant industry exposure
• Hybrid flexibility: only 2 days in the office in Cambridge each week
• Direct collaboration with Asset Management for strategic financial influence
• Growth opportunity within a high-performing real estate finance team

• Maintain financial accuracy across multiple commercial real estate properties
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for property operations
• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements—monthly, quarterly, annually
• Reconcile tenant accounts, track returns, and collaborate with asset managers
• Investigate discrepancies and support audits and compliance initiatives

• 5+ years of accounting experience in commercial real estate
• Expertise with Yardi or Buildium accounting systems
• Strong financial reporting and variance analysis skills

• Experience with Real Page
• Excel modeling or advanced spreadsheet capabilities
• Ability to manage multiple property accounts simultaneously
