Summary

The Teller is responsible for helping the branch to meet its goals of sales and service by providing the highest level of customer service through an ongoing commitment to improvement in operational and product knowledge, productivity, and job efficiency. Under the supervision of the Branch Manager, Assistant Branch Manager, or Senior Teller, this position is responsible for conducting financial transactions between the Bank and its customers, encouraging sales and referrals of bank products, and providing superior service in a highly professional manner.

Responsibilities
  • Understands and develops knowledge of Leader Bank products and services.
  • Conveys to customers an eagerness and willingness to help. Builds customer rapport in all telephone and in‑person interactions.
  • Meets customer needs through problem‑solving techniques as required.
  • Refers Leader Bank products and services within established guidelines.
  • Maintains referral documentation and actively participates in sales promotions.
  • Conducts business in a professional manner and maintains a neat and orderly work area.
  • Establishes and maintains a good working relationship with all team members.
  • Understands and adheres to security and compliance policies and procedures.
  • Processes all transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers in an accurate, efficient, professional manner.
  • Performs settlement procedures and balances cash drawer daily.
  • Performs any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by management.
  • This position will require some Saturday hours, so weekend availability is a necessity.
Qualifications
  • Position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
  • A sales and service‑oriented personality is a must as is a professional appearance.
  • Possesses a genuine intention to work cooperatively with others.
  • Position is responsible for providing excellent service to customers while supplying them with information on a variety of banking products that are suited to their individual needs.
  • Duties performed require a high level of accuracy in cash handling and an expectation for cross‑selling and up‑selling products.
  • Position requires constant customer contact, and as such, the candidate must be able to discern customer needs and recommend most appropriate product or service.
  • Decisions are made under close scrutiny of immediate supervisor and may become more extensive as position gains in knowledge and experience.
  • Errors in judgment at this level may result in monetary losses to the Bank and/or a breach of bank policy.
Compensation

Salary Minimum: $40,426 – Salary Max: $50,533.

The range listed is just one component of Leader Bank’s total compensation package for team members. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, commissions, short‑ and long‑term incentives, and program‑specific awards. In addition, Leader Bank provides a variety of benefits to eligible team members, including health insurance coverage, a team member wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off and vacation.
