The Analytical Instrmentation Specialist will be responsible for overseeing activities within an analytical laboratory. Key responsibilities include overseeing equipment maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and reliability. The candidate is also expected to train and mentor junior lab members and collaborate with key stakeholders in lab related activities.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of instrument operations for an R&D analytical laboratory including maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair
• Hands-on troubleshooting of basic issues along with coordination with instrument vendors on preventive maintenance and repairs as needed
• Serve as point of contact with additional internal/external stakeholders (lab operations, facilities, IT, instrument vendor, etc.) for lab related activities, such as instrument installation, PM, and relocation
• Train and mentor junior lab members on proper instrument operation and data analysis using common CDS software packages including Empower, Openlab CDS, Chemstation, and…
