Senior Platform Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to strengthen and scale the AWS‑based infrastructure that powers our products and teams. This role involves designing the backbone that accelerates our innovation and growth, taking on complex engineering challenges, driving automation for faster and more reliable deployments, and building resilient systems that empower our teams to deliver at scale.

• Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure (ECS, EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC) or similar services from other cloud providers (GCP, Azure).
• Develop backend services and integration tooling to support critical systems.
• Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines (Git Hub Actions, Code Pipeline).
• Drive automation to ensure deployments are fast, reliable, and repeatable.
• Ensure platform reliability with monitoring, logging, and alerting (Cloud Watch, Sentry).
• Collaborate with team members across engineering to integrate and scale services.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis of infrastructure issues.

• 6+ years of experience in Platform, Dev Ops, or Backend Infrastructure Engineering.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with AWS services (ECS preferred).
• Advanced Python programming skills.
• Proficiency with infrastructure‑as‑code (AWS CDK, Cloud Formation, Terraform).
• Experience with CI/CD automation and production systems.
• Strong grasp of reliability, scalability, and security best practices.
• Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, ECS).
• Exposure to data/ML infrastructure and supporting advanced workloads.

The salary range for this role is $108,000 – $176,000, dependent on qualifications and experience. Montai currently offers healthcare coverage, an annual incentive program, retirement benefits, and a broad range of additional benefits. Compensation and benefits information is based on Montai’s good‑faith estimate and may be modified in the future.
