The Research Associate works directly with a team of analysts who research, write, and publish reports to help make leaders successful in their roles. Clients work with Forrester to inform and accelerate their strategic decisions, understand market trends, and compare their strategy with industry best practices. The Research Associate plays a key role in supporting the team’s analysts to produce high-quality reports, presentations, and client advisory materials.
The Research Associate will report to a research ops and delivery manager and will support several analysts within the data, analytics, and AI space.
- Manage research projects by working with assigned analysts, formulating a project plan, establishing a check-in process, coordinating research, and managing schedule.
- Assist analysts with primary and secondary research for published reports, including telephone interviews, online surveys, and internal and third-party data.
- Support analyst presentations with well-formatted charts, appropriate callouts, meaningful titles, and a slide sequence that tells a story.
- Maintain the report production schedule, from inception through publication.
- Learn and be responsible for quantitative work with Forrester’s datasets.
- Coordinate the use of social media platforms (e.g., blogs, Linked In, online community) in the research and publishing process.
- A BA/BS degree with a strong academic record. All undergraduate majors are welcome to apply; any quantitative or statistics interest is a major plus.
- One to two years’ varied undergraduate or postgraduate work experience.
- A working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Attention to detail and the ability to build reusable resources like survey questions and formatted data outputs.
- The ability to write precisely, logically, and professionally.
- The ability to multitask and work independently with a team under tight deadlines.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- A passion for learning about data, analytics, and AI technologies, practices, and initiatives.
