Our Enterprise Security Group is responsible for developing and selling Enterprise Security, Segmentation, and Application Access products. We help customers evolve their infrastructure by implementing Zero Trust architecture and intelligent network segmentation laying the foundation for a more secure, agile, and responsive environment. Working closely with our enterprise sales, partner and product teams is key.

As a Solutions Engineer II, you will sit at the heart of the sales process. You will be the technical evangelist hunting in our mid‑market prospect base and bringing in new customers. You'll play a pivotal role in demonstrating the value of our solutions, helping to close the sale.

As a Solutions Engineer II, you will be responsible for:

• Building and nurturing both technical and executive relationships across the territory to influence preference for Akamai's solutions
• Delivering powerful proof‑of‑concepts, technical demonstrations, and pre‑sales activities with customers and partner teams
• Diving into enterprise architecture discovery and hands‑on software configuration
• Taking a consultative approach to solutions and solving customer challenges
• Educating and enabling internal teams and partners regarding our Enterprise solution portfolios to motivate effective sales strategies
• Influencing product roadmaps and ensuring the inclusion of business priorities and requirements of customers

To be successful in this role you will:

• 5 years of industry experience with at least 3 years in a pre‑sales capacity handling enterprise accounts
• Have hands‑on experience with network, security and infrastructure technologies
• Have outstanding presentation skills to both technical and executive audiences
• Knowledge in Microsegmentation and/or Enterprise Browsers a plus
