Join Akamai Technologies as an Architect (Infrastructure & Security Products). You will help drive innovative solutions for our rapidly growing suite of platform components and services that power Akamai's Infrastructure security offerings.

• Creating end-to-end architectural designs, focusing on meeting defined objectives around availability, reliability, performance, security, and scalability.
• Collaborating with development teams to implement designs.
• Socializing and building consensus around architectural decisions to provide stable and secure platforms.
• Designing solutions for software and configuration deployments, database, control plane, and security.

• 8 years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or its equivalent.
• Good understanding of architectural principles, such as scaling, reliability, performance, security, and their implementations.
• Understanding of Internet layer 3 and 4 technologies, DDOS attacks, including attack vectors and mitigations.
• Ability to analyze and prototype new auto mitigation algorithms.
• Programming skills (e.g., Perl, Python, JS, Java, Go, eBPF) to prototype new product ideas and concepts.
• Knowledge of utilizing DB (Clickhouse) technologies to test new algorithms on stored historic packet data.

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only, the base salary for this position ranges from $126,100 - $261,900/year. Compensation may also include incentive compensation opportunities, equity awards, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
