Join our world class Security Operations Command Center (SOCC). Akamai’s industry‑leading SOCC protects enterprises by detecting and mitigating real‑time cyber attacks and cyber‑terrorism on a daily basis. We partner with technical teams to help our customers defend their online presence. Akamai is the world leader in DDoS, web application and bot‑based attack mitigation.

As a Security Architect, you’ll engage in critical network and attack‑related events for Akamai’s managed security customers. Help identify real‑time cyber attacks, strategize & deploy mitigations while neutralizing adverse impact to end users.

• Devising and engaging mitigation strategies to prevent real time attacks, using Akamai products & platform
• Performing advanced analysis to identify attacks and threats to customer’s digital properties and/or their business network
• Communicating with customers regarding challenges and providing updates and results on your mitigation and analysis
• Innovating around tooling development & product enhancement.
• Being a good advocate to customer centricity during day‑to‑day operations & incidents

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have Obtain 3 years relevant industry experience on primarily networking OR Akamai Platform OR Web application Security.
• Have an in-depth understanding of networking fundamentals;
  Basic networking, TCP, IP, UDP.
• Demonstrate knowledge of how the internet works, including, DNS. HTTP, Suite of IP Protocols
• Understand OWASP Top 10 and their relation to internet service compromises and attacks.
• Need to demonstrate excellent verbal & written communication skills and excellent collaboration & team work.
• Have passion and ability to learn new tools and technologies and problem solving.
