Our client is seeking a qualified Desktop Support Technician to join their team onsite in Cambridge, MA and provide end-user support.
Duties and Responsibilities- Provide onsite desktop, laptop, and peripheral support for employees.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows 11 and Office 365 applications.
- Perform system imaging, deployment, and configuration of end-user devices.
- Use Service Now to manage incidents, service requests, and ticket documentation.
- Assist with hardware refreshes, software upgrades, and user migrations as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network, printer, and VPN connectivity issues.
- Maintain asset inventory and ensure compliance with IT standards and policies.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex issues and improve service quality.
- Deliver professional, courteous, and timely technical support to all users.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in desktop or IT support roles.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office 365 environments.
- Service Now experience required (incident/request management).
- Experience performing imaging, hardware setup, and user migrations.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and remote access tools.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
The rate for this position is between $26.00 - $30.00 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
