Develop, maintain, and monitor activity‑specific KPIs to evaluate key Medical Affairs activities, measure impact, and provide data‑driven transparency on resource allocation.
Role Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Medical Impact and Outcomes team lead to ensure KPIs can be efficiently computed.
- Support the team lead for analytical strategic planning and insights communication.
- Develop and calculate metrics to evaluate Medical Affairs activities, impact, and resource allocation.
- Analyze KPIs and data points to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive business outcomes.
- Develop cascades of performance metrics that link assessment of individual and Category/Affiliate performance to overall Medical goals.
- Support development of systems to monitor metrics and proactively identify underperformance or changes in particular areas of Medical Affairs activity.
- Source and pull data from various systems and databases to populate dashboards with accurate and up‑to‑date information.
- Maintain tools and models according to best practices.
- Gather, prepare, and maintain datasets required to perform analytics.
- Oversee data systems in close collaboration with the data management lead and ensure appropriate collection, storage, and processing of data within the team.
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs teams to support efficient and timely reporting of data in appropriate formats and to elevate roadblocks with leadership as necessary.
- Collaborate with UI experts to ensure data analyses can be easily visualized in dashboards.
- Regularly collect user feedback to update existing metrics and improve future analyses.
- Provide ongoing support to resolve technical or data‑related issues and answer questions from stakeholders.
- Advanced degree in life sciences, data analytics, or a similar field.
- Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years experience, or a Master’s/MBA with 5+ years experience.
- Demonstrated effectiveness working in a cross‑functional business environment.
- Proven leadership skills in managing people and projects both directly and via a matrixed or indirect leadership structure.
- Strong interpersonal skills to quickly build rapport and credibility with Pfizer leaders and key external stakeholders.
- Ability to partner cross‑culturally/regionally.
- Effective talent management.
- Effective English verbal and written communication with flexibility to be clear, consistent, compliant and appropriate for a variety of settings including scientific/technical, promotional, patient/consumer, regulatory and media.
- In‑depth understanding of the business of pharmaceutical medicine including clinical trial design, GCP and data interpretation, drug development, regulatory and promotional rules/guidance, legal and compliance, issue management and business development opportunity evaluations.
- Demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities, including influencing and collaborating with peers, developing and coaching others, overseeing and guiding the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
