Position Overview

The Site Manager is responsible for daily management and operational oversight of the team, ensuring efficient and safe execution of all site activities. This role serves as the primary point of contact for our 3PL and other vendors, coordinating labor, enforcing safety regulations, and providing critical reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs). The Site Manager will act as the main liaison for direct customers, maintaining smooth operations and addressing escalations related to damages, traffic, or other site‑specific issues.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (2+ years) in operations management, preferably within a logistics or warehousing environment.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and guide large teams.
  • Prior leadership or team lead experience in a warehouse or distribution setting.
  • Exceptional problem‑solving skills and the ability to manage and resolve escalations effectively.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
Minimum Skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal teams and external partners or vendors.
  • Proficiency in transferring knowledge and ensuring that all team members understand and adhere to training materials, guidelines, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop large, diverse teams in high‑pressure environments.
  • Resource allocation experience.
  • Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in reporting, order fulfillment, and daily operations.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols in warehouse and distribution center environments, including OSHA regulations.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements for logistics and warehousing, including quality standards, inventory control, and legal compliance.
Key Responsibilities
  • On‑site point of contact for the client to assist and resolve shipping and receiving concerns.
  • Provide daily leadership and direction to a team of 8+ shipping and receiving personnel.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Train and mentor team members on operational procedures and best practices.
  • Manage team schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Enforce all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and address any safety concerns promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant company policies and industry standards.
  • Support escalation communication of damages, traffic concerns, and other site‑related issues.
  • Track and report key performance metrics such as order fulfillment, staging accuracy, on‑time delivery, processing, and quality of damage/loss reports.
  • Manage and allocate resources effectively to meet operational needs.
  • Mediate conflicts, address concerns, and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide constructive feedback, coach team members for performance improvements, and support career development goals.
