Job Overview
The Broad IT Services (BITS) group is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager for our Project Management Office (PMO). This hybrid role involves leading, planning, coordinating, and implementing department projects while adhering to deadlines, budgets, and specifications.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities- Facilitate project meetings and align teams around goals.
- Manage assigned IT projects to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.
- Develop, maintain, and revise proposals for assigned projects, including objectives, technologies, systems, specifications, timelines, funding, and staffing.
- Set and track project milestones; manage unforeseen delays and realign schedules as needed.
- Establish and implement project communication plans, providing status updates to staff and stakeholders.
- Organize and manage all phases of the project to ensure on‑time completion.
- Assemble and coordinate project team members, assigning individual responsibilities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- 5+ years of related experience managing IT projects.
- Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies, and methods.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to establish guidelines for others.
- Strong personal accountability in decision‑making and supervising department teams.
- Experience working in a high‑level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality.
- Experience applying analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to predict challenges and proactively head off obstacles.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer or Information Science or related field.
- PMP certification is a plus.
- Training in science, engineering, or business fields is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Smartsheet, Jira, and Confluence is a plus.
Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Sedentary work. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading.
Compensation and BenefitsThe expected base pay range for this position is based on a 40‑hour per week schedule.
