As a member of the Project Management Office, the Senior Project Manager for G&A Applications leads technology initiatives that support General & Administrative (G&A) functions – including HR, Finance, Legal, Procurement, and Corporate Operations. Primarily this role will lead a highly visible, complex HCM replacement overseeing a cross‑functional team to deliver within scope, agreed upon quality, and within time and cost constraints.

These factors may be clearly defined or may require dynamic change management to deliver business value. This is a part‑time (P) position with the potential for full‑time (F) in 2026.

Primary Responsibilities And Activities

This role will partner closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to drive effective planning, execution, and adoption of the HRIS system, and potentially other enterprise applications and process improvements. The ideal candidate is a structured, proactive leader with deep experience managing cross‑functional projects, strong business acumen, and a passion for enabling scalable, efficient operations. Activities include:

  • Support creation of and review project proposals or plans to determine a time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements and the assignment of available departmental resources to various project phases.
  • Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required activities and tasks.
  • Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle and confer with project staff on project deliverables and define the work plan.
  • Act as a coach to junior project managers, executives and others who need assistance and advice regarding project management practices.
  • Establish work plans and effort for project activities, iterations or phases.
  • Review/approve the work plan of an external service provider or consultancy contracted to execute projects.
  • Implement a project communication plan.
  • Identify and track risks and mitigation plans.
  • Monitor project activities, ensuring the currency, quality and integrity of information, while providing consistency in content and “look and feel” across the organization.
  • Ensure that project goals and success criteria are met.
  • Assign duties and responsibilities to project personnel and define the scope of their authority.
  • Work with line managers to identify project personnel.
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of project personnel to ensure projects progress on schedule and within budget.
  • Prepare status reports with input from project personnel and schedules or plans.
  • Follow agreed upon standards and procedures as set by the PMO and agreed upon with the team for project reporting and documentation.
  • Benchmark project management performance continuously to identify the potential for improvements and increase capability in project and portfolio management.

Job Requirements Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems or a related field, or equivalent IT experience. Master’s in computer information systems or related degree preferred. PMP or other related certification desired.

Experience
  • Seven or more years of progressively responsible IT experience, with sensitivity and commitment to business problem solving
  • Five to seven years of successfully managing complex and risky G&A projects
  • Experience leading HCM implementations such as UKG, ADP, or Workday
  • Five or more years of BU or BU-facing experience, with sensitivity and commitment to business problem solving
  • Experience in leading diverse teams
  • Experience and ability in using “soft skills” or “people skills”
Knowledge and Skills
  • Experience with end-to-end technical deployments to multiple audiences across an organization.
