Marketing Specialist

MARKETING SPECIALIST , MIT Professional Education (PE) , under the direction of the Director of Marketing & Communications, will play a crucial role in supporting the PE Marketing and Communications team in executing effective marketing campaigns and initiatives and be involved in a wide range of activities, including event coordination, social media management, content creation, and data analysis. Duties include producing and editing communications for PE Programs, managing the PE Marketing email accounts, curating social media and coordinating responses, updating web content, scheduling meetings, coordinating and maintenance of marketing assets, attending conferences, and assisting with communications and marketing activities, events, and campaigns.

MIT Professional Education (PE), under the School of Engineering, offers a suite of education programs and modalities to serve the continuing educational needs of global professionals.

Required:

Bachelor's degree; a minimum of three years of related experience; ability to work effectively in a fast-moving high-volume environment; excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office, Macs, marketing software, email marketing platforms, social media management tools, and analytics platforms; working knowledge of:
Adobe Creative Suite, Drupal, Salesforce, Pardot, web content management systems, marketing automation tools, project management software, social media management software, Slack, basic HTML, SEO, Google Analytics, digital marketing channels, social media, content marketing, SEO, and email marketing; ability to work effectively in a team environment; strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Must be able to travel locally and work occasional evenings and weekends.
