This role, within the Sloan MBA Program, is pivotal in fostering a robust, inclusive student community for MIT's premier global MBA Program. The Coordinator will independently organize and manage over eight major community-building events, each accommodating between 15 to 450 attendees. Additionally, they will oversee comprehensive office communications and financial operations for budgets amounting to $700K. Collaborating extensively with MIT and Sloan stakeholders, including managers, student leaders, and project owners, the Coordinator will ensure the delivery of high-quality programming for over 900 MBA and MSMS students.
Key responsibilities include planning, organizing, and executing program-specific events from inception to completion; managing two weekly newsletters for 800+ subscribers using Adobe Creative Suite and Sloan Groups; handling all financial transactions such as vendor payments, purchase orders, SAP reconciliation, and budget tracking; overseeing event registration, communications, and post-event evaluations; and coordinating with team members to create inclusive programming while maintaining operational excellence.
Required:
Bachelor's degree, a minimum of two years of experience, event management experience preferred, proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft 365, and SAP, and strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred:
Three years of experience in event management or program management; or familiarity with MIT Sloan and MIT policies and procedures.
