We are looking for a Research Assistant in Chemistry at ODDITY LABS.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Independently perform experiments, analyze, validate and report data in an effective manner.
- Develop and improve experimental methods, assays and tests to quantify and validate key properties (solubility, stability, etc.) including LC/MS or HPLC method development and validation.
- Conduct IVPT, solubility, and stability studies.
- Manage receipt, organization, and shipment of laboratory samples.
- Prioritize and execute multiple tasks/deliverables concurrently.
- Help manage and coordinate instrumentation and equipment maintenance as necessary. This can include both internal maintenance and external third-party procurement.
- Help perform regular calibration and QA/QC checks on instrumentation and equipment.
- Stay apprised of trends across beauty and biotechnology and implement new technologies that may further enhance the capabilities of ODDITY LABS.
- Adhere to laboratory safety procedures.
- Maintain all laboratory-related documentation, including but not limited to laboratory notebook, experimental records, safety data sheets, regulatory documents, and SOPs.
WHO YOU ARE
- M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field; exceptional candidates with a B.S. or B.A. and significant industry experience will also be considered.
- Minimum of 2 years of industry experience in analytical development in the personal care, biotech, or pharmaceutical industry. Experience in topical delivery is a plus.
- Able to drive scientific excellence, understand key technologies, build protocols, and communicate effectively within R&D.
- Experienced with standard analytical chemistry instrumentation (pH meter, HPLC, UPLC, LCMS, viscometer, microscope, etc.)
- Knowledgeable about topics related to cosmetic formulation (e.g., emulsions, serums, gels, dispersions, surfactant systems) and familiar with skin biology and active ingredient functions.
- A strong communicator with excellent analytical skills.
