Join the adventure!
CAMP4 is seeking a highly motivated Scientist to join our Discovery team and contribute to the advancement of CNS programs from target selection through candidate nomination. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent PhD graduate with a strong background in neuroscience or a related discipline who is interested in applying functional neuroscience approaches to drug discovery. A primary responsibility of this role will be to develop and establish functional and phenotypic assays in human iPSC-derived neuronal models to support target validation and characterize the activity of candidate ASOs.

The successful candidate will apply approaches such as multielectrode array (MEA), calcium imaging, and high-content imaging to characterize disease-relevant neuronal phenotypes and to evaluate rescue by candidate ASO.

The Scientist will work closely with members of the Discovery team as well as cross-functional colleagues in Platform, Chemistry, Preclinical and Data Science. We are looking for a curious, rigorous, and collaborative Scientist who enjoys developing new experimental approaches and translating biological questions into robust cellular assays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, optimize, and implement functional and phenotypic assays in human iPSC-derived neurons, including multielectrode array (MEA), calcium imaging, and high-content imaging.
  • Establish disease-relevant neuronal phenotypes in patient iPSC-derived neurons and evaluate functional responses to candidate ASOs.
  • Design and execute experiments supporting target validation though candidate selection across CNS discovery programs.
  • Develop cellular and biochemical assays to assess target engagement and downstream biological effects of ASOs.
  • Analyze, interpret, and communicate experimental results to project teams and broader scientific audiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional scientists to integrate functional assay results with molecular, genomic, and pharmacological data to drive project advancement to key go/no-go decisions.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed experimental records to support regulatory documentation of candidate ASOs.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
  • PhD in neuroscience, molecular biology, cell biology, or a related discipline with 0-3 years of post-degree experience.
  • Hands‑on experience with neuronal…
