Position: Prep Cooks, Line Cooks, Dishwashers - Tatte Main Street

Job Description

Tatte Bakery & Cafe is seeking Prep Cooks, Line Cooks, and Dishwashers to join their team. As a member of the savory team, you will be responsible for preparing dishes from scratch, working together with the team to ensure the highest quality, and adhering to specific recipe and sanitation standards.

The ideal candidate will have a desire to help where needed, work as part of a team, and possess a passion for cooking with a keen eye for freshness, quality, and cleanliness.

Responsibilities
  • Follow prep lists created by chefs
  • Label and stock all cooking ingredients
  • Complete all tasks on the prep list from the Head Chef or other kitchen manager
  • Washing, chopping, and sorting ingredients
  • Measuring quantities of seasonings and other cooking ingredients
  • Adhere to all relevant nutrition and sanitary regulations and standards

Additionally, the candidate should have flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, holidays, and afternoons/evenings. At least 1 year of experience working in a fast-paced kitchen is preferred but not required.

Summary of Roles

Prep Cooks will follow prep lists, label and stock ingredients, and complete tasks on the prep list. Line Cooks will execute techniques under the direction of the Sous Chef and Executive Chef, prepare and cook food according to recipes, and operate kitchen equipment. Dishwashers will be responsible for the proper care and maintenance of the dish machine, keeping a clean supply of dishware, and adhering to cleanliness and sanitation standards.
