At Hub Spot, BDRs are the first point of contact for our prospects—developing skills and mindset to become the next generation of Account Executives.

The Role

As an Outbound BDR, you’ll play a key role in Hub Spot’s growth engine. You'll be the first touchpoint for many of our future customers, sparking conversations through strategic outreach, uncovering pain points, and qualifying leads. You’ll partner closely with Account Executives to deliver high-quality meetings that drive pipeline, impact, and revenue. Along the way, you’ll sharpen your sales toolkit daily and gain exposure to a world-class sales organization.

Compensation

& Career Track

Base salary: $52,220 USD
On-target commission: $22,380 USD
On-target earnings (OTE): $74,600 USD

This is the first of three levels in our BDR program—designed to take you from prospecting pro to promoting to a full-cycle closer. With each promotion, both salary and commission increase, along with your impact.

What You’ll Do
  • Own and execute outbound prospecting through high-volume outreach (60–100+ activities/day) via phone, email, and Linked In.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to target strategic accounts and refine outreach strategy.
  • Qualify leads based on fit, need, and urgency — and book quality discovery meetings.
  • Hit and exceed KPIs for activity, meetings delivered, and pipeline impact.
  • Grow fast. Learn fast. Get coached. Apply it. Repeat.

Pay & Benefits

The compensation includes base salary, on-target commission, and annual bonus targets under Hub Spot’s bonus plan. Some roles may be eligible to participate in Hub Spot’s equity plan (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Packages are tailored to your skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

Annual cash compensation range: $71,000 — $82,900 USD.
