Physician Scientist, Neuroscience & Ophthalmology Genetics

• Apply human genetics to target discovery, indication selection, and patient subgroup identification
• Design, execute, and interpret genetics studies with human genetics scientists and bioinformaticians
• Partner with Therapeutic Area Genetics colleagues to deliver complex scientific work
• Generate, summarize, and present findings to internal and external audiences
• Lead or contribute to scientific reports and publications in neurological and ophthalmological disease areas

• MD or MD/PhD degree with strong human genetics or genetic epidemiology background
• Experience designing and leading human genetics studies with medically relevant outcomes
• Knowledge of GWAS, exome sequencing, genome sequencing across cohort and case-control studies
• Strong communication skills for presenting complex genetic findings to diverse audiences
• Programming or statistical software proficiency in Python or R preferred
• Familiarity with statistical genetics applications like polygenic risk scores or Mendelian randomization preferred
• Experience integrating genetics with omics technologies such as epigenetics or proteomics preferred
