As a Security Officer - Commercial Real Estate Patrols in Cambridge, MA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate. You will monitor and patrol a dynamic commercial real estate location, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will interact with tenants and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication.

- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, suspicious activity, or potential hazards within the commercial real estate environment.
- Maintain detailed and accurate logs and/or incident reports as required by site procedures.
- Assist visitors and employees with directions and general inquiries while maintaining a professional presence.
- Collaborate with Allied Universal management and/or client representatives to address security-related concerns or incidents as they arise.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
