Bridges Homeward operates on a 33.5 hour work week.

The Social Worker is a member of the Comprehensive Foster Care Program team serving children and youth who are in the custody of the Department of Children and Families. The Social Worker provides direct clinical and case management services to children in foster care placement, supports foster families in coordination with the Family Resource Worker, and supports the youth and their team on locating and strengthening permanent connections.

• Completes weekly home visits with children in foster homes to ensure safety, monitor progress, and support placement.
• Utilizes permanency interventions with youth, families, and DCF to enhance permanent outcomes.
• Provides case management and treatment planning for all children on caseload.
• Provides after‑hours emergency coverage on a rotating basis.

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, education, or a related field plus 1 year of experience working with children, youth, and families, or an MSW.
• Professional Social Work licensure (within 6 months of hire).
• Bilingual preferred but not required.

• Valid driver's license and properly insured vehicle.
