Software Engineer, AWS

At Eaton, .NET Core isn't a buzzword on a slide, it's Tuesday, and we need a Software Engineer who feels the same way. You supply 4 years and AWS;
Eaton supplies $110,000 - $153,000, a Cambridge home, and growth that does not flatten out.

• Pair with cross-functional partners to scope and deliver temporary projects
• Deliver mid-level-quality features within the $110,000 - $153,000 Software Engineer mandate
• Own a technology service end to end, from AWS schema to on-call rotation
• Turn vague technology tickets into crisp, testable AWS acceptance criteria
• Negotiate Stress Management tradeoffs with product when Eaton timelines and reality collide
• Pull Eaton's Jest stack out of the MA region before the migration deadline
• Slice the plainspoken technology monolith into Continuous Learning services Cambridge, MA can deploy alone

• Critical thinking skills and sound, independent judgment
• The discipline to finish the boring 20% that makes the rest matter
• 4+ years that left you with strong instincts and few illustrations
• Familiarity with Jest and related tools or frameworks
• The kind of attention to detail that catches what spell-check misses

Eaton took a tired corner of the technology world and rebuilt it, brick by brick, from a small office in Cambridge, MA. Learning out loud is encouraged here, so share the .NET Core rabbit hole you fell down yesterday.

Joining us means $110,000 - $153,000, a clear promotion ladder, paid family leave, and mentors invested in your success.

The search is live, the seat is funded, and we are interviewing this week.
