Hourly Wage: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Security Bank & Trust Co. is looking for a Personal Banker/Teller who develops and maintains the retail banking business of prospective and existing customers. Implements personal banking concepts through the opening and cross‑selling of new consumer and business deposit accounts and other retail banking services.

Personal Banker Duties:

• Effectively develop banking relationships with new and existing customers and co‑workers.
• Open new business and consumer accounts including checking, savings, certificates of deposit, individual retirement accounts & health savings accounts.
• Cross‑sell suitable products and services to achieve established goals.
• Complete account maintenance such as wire transfers and stop payments upon customer request.
• Manage a portfolio of bank customers to strengthen their relationship with the bank.
• Provide additional services to customers to include debit cards, credit cards, notary, merchant bank card services.
• Effectively respond to customer inquiries, either by telephone or in person, regarding account status or error resolution, products, or services.
• Play an active role in community affairs and organizations demonstrating the bank’s commitment to the community.
• Favorably represent the bank at community functions and meetings.
• Attend training seminars to enhance professional expertise.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
• Perform all customer transactions efficiently and accurately.
• Assist customers with any questions they may have.
• Perform proof, imaging, and capture functions.
• Process customer account transfers on the system.
• End of day closing procedures: balance cash drawer, verify accuracy of strapped currency, run system updates and close.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma required.
• A minimum of two years’ Personal Banking experience is preferred.
• Teller experience is a plus although not required.

• Superior customer service abilities.
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills as well as excellent organizational/time management skills.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision while performing duties.
