Overview
Residential Services, Inc. (RSI) has a part-time Mental Health Worker opening with our Lotus Grace program in Cambridge, MN. This position will work within a 24/7 Residential Crisis Stabilization (RCS) and Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS) team to implement treatment plans and services that enable the service recipient to develop and enhance psychiatric stability, personal and emotional adjustment and independent living and community skills.

Position is offering 16-24 hrs per week, shifts vary 2:00pm
-10:00pm or 3:00pm – 11:00pm; with every other weekend required and Monday staff meetings from 8am - 10am. Salary: $20.00-$21.00 per hour.
Located on a serene 20-acre hobby farm in Cambridge, MN, RSI’s Lotus Grace IRTS & RCS setting is designed to support up to five people. The mission at Lotus Grace is to assist in addressing mental health in our community by providing services aimed to meet the immediate support needs of people experiencing mental health crises in a licensed residential setting.

What You’ll do as a Mental Health WorkerAs a Mental Health Worker, you will work with the treatment team to implement treatment plans and services for adults experiencing psychiatric instability. You will provide support and services that are rehabilitative and help the recipient to develop and enhance psychiatric stability, social competencies, personal and emotional adjustment, and independent living skills. Key responsibilities will include:
- Encourage consumer empowerment by promoting individual participation in support service development and provide service recipients with mental illness symptom management and relapse prevention skills to enable them to manage their mental illness.
- Safely monitor and guide the activities of each person, taking into account the individual’s level of behavioral and psychiatric stability, cultural needs, and vulnerabilities.
- Provide supervision, assistance, and training to meet the physical and personal needs of people receiving services (e.g., health, grooming, bathing, toileting, eating, socialization).
- Provide appropriate supervision and crisis prevention intervention and resolution techniques, following agency policies and procedures, risk management plans and individual support plans.
- Provide accurate medication administration and documentation in accordance with RSI’s policies.
- Assist people receiving services with household responsibilities (e.g. shopping, meal preparation, laundry, cleaning, budgeting, banking) and transportation allowing them to achieve maximum independence based upon individual skills and abilities.
- Respond to the needs, desires and interests of people receiving services through proper review, implementation, and assessment of services, in accordance with the individual treatment support plans.
- Complete thorough and accurate documentation ensuring all documentation is completed within the required time frames.
- Attend trainings and meetings as required by RSI policy and licensing requirements, including weekly team meetings.
